Prof. Clément Hongler

Clément Hongler studied mathematics at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) where he got his master degree in 2008.

He then got his Ph.D. in 2010 at the Univerity of Geneva under the supervision of Prof. Stanislav Smirnov and went on to the Columbia University to work as a Ritt Assistant Professor and a Minerva Fellow from September 2010 to July 2014.

Since July 2014, he has been holding the Chair of Statistical Field Theory (CSFT) at EPFL.

His current research focuses on the phase transitions of the two dimensional Ising model and the associated scaling limits and their symmetries.
